Feeling your baby move for the first time is an incredible experience. Some moms describe those early flutters as "butterflies" or "bubbles." But as your baby grows, you may feel as if you're carrying around a little gymnast. Don't be surprised if his kicks and tumbles wake you up at night.
Your baby is growing rapidly. By the end of this month, your baby will weigh around two pounds. He'll be between 11 and 14 inches long. Soon he'll be able to open his eyes and turn his head toward a source of bright light, such as a flashlight. He already has a strong grip. When he's born, he'll be able to grasp your finger.
If you're like most women, you are "showing" more, and your pregnancy is starting to feel more real. All that activity inside you is reassuring. Share your excitement and wonder with Dad by letting him feel his baby move, too.
